We often have customers that need an age verification age gate prompt that can adjust the age requirement depending on their site visitors locations. There are a couple ways to do this including geolocation (the detection of where the site visitor is physically located) or you can prompt the site visitor to select their location. We can build age gates using either option but have found the best approach is to simply have the site visitor select their location. Once selected or detected, we can then adjust the age requirement, text and any other variable needed based on their location.
This is the approach we took when building the custom age gate for the new Averi Infusions Squarespace website. Site visitors will select which Canadian Province they reside in (or the United States if applicable) and the age gate will automatically adjust the required age and date of birth for entry based on the selection.
